AboutHere I code indiegames (independent games). I drink caffeine. Lot of debug also. |
⚠ story mode: posts are in chronological order! killed in actionDay 130 Intelligent Cubes Sunday August 11, 2013 | To check my client/server routine I decided to keep track of each single dead iube. This counter should soon testify of some ongoing genocide. Utterly useless, but I do enjoy this kind of… uselessness. |
user friendlyDay 142 Intelligent Cubes Sunday August 25, 2013 | Time is flying away.
I finally decided to stop my keyboard-only obsession, meaning adding icons and full mouse support. Interface is now user friendly I guess, and bound to be the final one? |
last changes?Day 153 Intelligent Cubes Sunday September 15, 2013 | I'm back from vacation with a couple of new ideas to fix some gameplay issues. Years ago, I hated when some guy used to get in with 10 unstoppable units at the very beginning of an Age of Empire match. I want to avoid such “killer strategy” so that winning won’t repose on tricks that corrupt the whole game. And it looks like my last adjustments did the job... |
#defineDay 157 Intelligent Cubes Sunday September 22, 2013 | Iubes' gameplay depends on 40 hidden parameters (like food given per farm, soldier life points, wood resistance against fire, tower hit range…).
Fine tuning of those values seems to be over.
That's good news. |
Auto patcher!Day 171 Intelligent Cubes Sunday October 6, 2013 | Live update, pushing patch notes… a bunch of things that should be very usefull in a couple of days! I also made some adjustments on my TCP/IP functions to survive connexion loss and that kind of events. I hope the whole will be robust enough to survive the beta! (double crossed fingers…) |
1,243,596 and counting.Day 174 Intelligent Cubes Wednesday October 9, 2013 | 1,243,596 iubes killed so far. That’s well-tested now. But my favorite number is 9. NINE days without any runtime exception. The right pointers at the right place.
One more thing to do: make some “install.exe”… then… spread the beta keys! |
