Some goal?

Day 079
Intelligent Cubes
Saturday April 20, 2013

I'm feeling a little bored working on the iubes. Maybe it's time to set a challenging goal?

By the end of this month... what would be nice is to release the first "official" teaser of this game and get some feedback. This could be a pretty new step!

What are the iubes?

Day 084
Intelligent Cubes
Friday April 26, 2013

I was working on FX and particles, with a more and more dark mood. My first original vision of iubes fighting was a kind of ironic bloody battlefield… Anyway, it doesn't work. Bad design. Bad.

After a deep brainstoming between myself and I, something became clear: iubes have to be robots. No blood, but smoke. It’ll much better fit. Robots are intelligent, simple, monomaniac...

Now I have to relook the iubes for something like neat cubes, or… whatever else. Don't know yet.

New iubes

Day 086
Intelligent Cubes
Monday April 29, 2013

« IUBES are Intelligent Cubes. There are many copies… And they have no plan. »

This game isn't going to bring any storyline anyway. Instead I decided to polish a kind of depth-design to explain what iubes are made of. It may be enough to generate some interest...

Patience, patience, patience…

Day 089
Intelligent Cubes
Monday May 6, 2013

Making a video game as a spare time project? The good joke.

Such a project is the best way to loose patience (maybe even my mind at some point). Everything is painfully slow, every single step. It could drive me crazy some day. Anyway homepage is now online! That's one more step up.

Mind hack

Day 092
Intelligent Cubes
Friday May 10, 2013

Efficient idea here. I just decided to create a "iubes II" section at the bottom of my to-do list. There's no "iubes II" in my mind, but that's not the point.

It's designed to be a great ideas isolation system: there's always good new ideas while creating a game. Instead of fighting against that, I can now throw out those nice features in my "iubes II" section.

Day 093
Intelligent Cubes
Saturday May 11, 2013

Oh that was a very good day. I decided to take my sweet iubes out of their everlasting forest. From frozen landscapes to deserts.

Just a couple of colors and shape to adjust and more landscapes come to life.

Now I need one more day of work and I should have gathered all needed features to start my first video.

A teaser for the 100th day of work...
