About

Here I code indiegames (independent games). I drink caffeine. Lot of debug also.

The light in the tunnel

Day 049
Intelligent Cubes
Tuesday October 23, 2012

Today I made big steps forward on this project, I do believe this game can be a fair enjoyable new indie game.

I'm seriously motivated without a doubt... If only I could have more time to spend on this stuff!!

A/ I feel like I know exactly what I’ve got to do, what the plan is, just go ahead. B/ But I must keep this easy. The main goal is to release as quickly as possible a spare-time indie game.

Always more

Day 054
Intelligent Cubes
Saturday November 3, 2012

YES! I only had to create an array of my "Community"” class, to obtain multiple teams at once sharing the map without any clash or inconsistency.

It's quite a relief as everything worked almost instantly. Way much simpler than what I expected actually. It also means my code is still clean. Phew.

Step by step...

Day 055
Intelligent Cubes
Sunday November 4, 2012

Official page almost ready. New improved logo done. And two sound tracks rendered. One step after another, this project is moving forward.

The black hole

Day 056
Intelligent Cubes
Tuesday December 11, 2012

And then, no time for my iubes since last month. Seriously, no time at all.

Nope.

Obstinacy

Day 057
Intelligent Cubes
Monday January 7, 2013

First day of work within two months. For sure, it was an efficient day, but... ONE available day in TWO months. I can't go on this way, otherwise I'll need 6 to 7 years to finish this game...

Persistence

Day 059
Intelligent Cubes
Tuesday January 8, 2013

Aye! I've managed to find a couple of hours for this project. Two days in a row... this is nearly unbeliveable... Am I facing the 2nd rebirth of this game!? Let's see...

I made a daily work chart: this project was born 6 months ago. The beginning was quite easy, until time issues with my job. The rebirth took place with a whole game concept update. Since then... my motivation never fell. However finding time for iubes was a square pain. In fact, it's almost impossible to do some "sunday project".

Hard. But... this is a quite funny journey. It may sound odd, but I enjoy seeing this whole stuff like an experiment.

Anyway... I hope I'll be able to come back for real this time.
