⚠ story mode: posts are in chronological order! Grand opening!Day 236 Intelligent Cubes Sunday January 26, 2014 | Update 1.11 / the big one: this version will be the official release. I decided that beta time was over. 5,957,884 dead iubes sounds like enough, actually! Even if the game by itself isn’t finished, and I don’t plan to stop updating it (I’ve got tons of ideas to implement), I guess it’s time to release it before going further.
Now… well… what I’m supposed to do? How do you really release an indie game? I’m going to find out quite soon… |
slowly opening the doorDay 237 Intelligent Cubes Monday February 3, 2014 | It’s not that I’m releasing iubes “slowly”. In fact, release by itself is a slow process. Desura needs a boxshot. Humble asks for a W-8BEN form for non-US residents (and what the hell is a notional principal contract?). And so on…

28 days after (…release)Day 238 Intelligent Cubes Saturday March 15, 2014 | One month passed since my last post! iubes has been “officialy” released and everything worked fine! Pretty enjoyable actually.
It’s really fun to see names from all over the world ; even if I have a buyer overrepresentation from Norway and Japan, due to a couple of papers and word of mouth. BTW it’s fun to check country specific statistics too. Japan guys tend to play way faster! Yep… but Norway dudes play better. Anyway… I never took the time to thank all of you directly, thus you’ll get a thank you gift soon!
Meanwhile… I stepped back from iubes to take the time to think about future updates and where I want iubes to go. I have found out. I’m currently working on a major update which should be really fun. Be ready for a whole additional challenge! I’ll resume iubes’ promoting after that.
Meanwhile 2… I started my 2nd game. More news to come. But now, I’m going back to work, go. |
The selfies!Day 244 Intelligent Cubes Tuesday April 22, 2014 | Update 1.12 // back for you dears! It took ages… but here is at last the first update since the official release. Some bugs fixed, some new maps, some improvements… but above all, a new game mode.
Selfie mode: originally this mode was designed for pure testing purpose… but it proved to be actually a nonesuch strategy feature. Be careful, it’ll mess your brain at some point! |
not yet a bundle, but…Day 245 Intelligent Cubes Monday April 28, 2014 | I’ve taken some time to prepare my first present for iubes’ buyers. INSWAP is an almost never released puzzle game I made years ago. I’ve dug up its sourcecode from my archives: everything compile and run fine… it should be emailed to you later this week!
